Submatic allows you to import your inventory from Square and maintain an active sync between the systems. You do not need to import all of your inventory into Submatic, you should only import items that are:
- Sold as part of a subscription
- Sold as part of a package
- Used as linked products
Products must be part of a category within Square in order to be imported. Import rules are defined on a category level and products that are not part of a category cannot be imported.
Select Categories to Sync:
- Go to Submatic Settings > Store Settings
- Add a check mark next to any category that should be imported and synced with Submatic. Use the "Refresh Category" button if you have made updates to categories in Square that are not reflected on the page.
- Go to Submatic Items > Products
- Click on the Import Products button. Products will be imported within a few minutes and you may navigate to another page while the import processes in the background.
- Once completed products will appear on your Products page and may be included on a subscription or package, or set as a linked product.
Optionally Include Services:
Products and Services are separate in Square, and the default setting in Submatic is to exclude Services from the sync. To include Services simply check "Yes" on the "Include Bookable Services" setting.
Ongoing Inventory Sync:
- Inventory will sync with Square automatically on a daily basis. Products will be added, deleted, or updated in Submatic based on changes in Square.
- To trigger an immediate sync go to Submatic Items > Products and click on the "Re-sync Products Now" link
