An email reminder can be sent to your customers before their subscription is renewed. This is good practice especially for subscriptions with longer billing cycles. In Submatic you can configure the schedule for these reminders. An example email renewal reminder is displayed here:
By default Submatic will schedule a renewal reminder for any Subscription Template that has a billing cycle of 3 months or longer. The default email reminder schedule is as follows:
Billing Cycle | Reminder Set Automatically? | Default Reminder Time |
1 Week | No | N/A |
2 Weeks | No | N/A |
1 Month | No | N/A |
2 Months | No | N/A |
3 Months | Yes | 2 weeks before renewal |
4 Months | Yes | 2 weeks before renewal |
6 Months | Yes | 1 month before renewal |
1 Year | Yes | 1 month before renewal |
You may enable/disable reminders, customize reminder timing, add additional reminders for any billing cycle. To do this go to the Templates page and click on Manage > Communications. Then click on Renewal Reminders.
To enable or disable reminders click on the toggle switch. If the switch is blue then reminders are on (as shown in the below image).
To update a reminder schedule enter a number in the text box and select Days, Weeks, or Months from the dropdown. Click the "Add Another Reminder" button to add an additional reminder, or click on the red "X" button to remove a reminder. Click Save when you are done.
