Use the Mailchimp integration to automatically sync Submatic subscribers/members with Mailchimp.
Connect to Mailchimp
- Go to Settings > Business => Integrations
- Click on "Connect to Mailchimp" on the overview page, and then again on the integration detail page.
- You will be redirected to Mailchimp's authentication page
- Log in with your Mailchimp credentials
- If the process was successful you will see a confirmation that the account is now connected.
Create New Mailchimp Audience
Creating a new Audience from this page will generate a new Audience in Mailchimp. If you have an existing Audience in Mailchimp this step may be unnecessary. To create a new Audience:
- Click "Create New Mailchimp Audience"
- Enter Audience name
- Click Create Audience
Fields Created in Mailchimp
When you run a sync with Mailchimp, Submatic will create contacts using Tags and Segments.
- Contacts: Customers are added to the selected Audience as contacts.
- Tags: Labels assigned to Contacts for further categorization. Each Contact is automatically tagged with the name of the Template they are associated with. For example: Subscriber of "Wine Club" Template will be given the Mailchimp tag "Wine Club".
- Segments: Groups within your Mailchimp audience that categorize customers. One segment is created for each tag. For example: "Wine Club Segment" will include all contacts tagged with the "Wine Club" tag.
Plan Mapping / Ongoing Contact Syncing
Add customers associated with a Template to a specific Mailchimp Audience and Segment and define sync logic going forward on your Mailchimp integration page.
- Each card on the page represents a Template
- Select an Audience from the list of Mailchimp Audiences
- Optionally enable auto-sync for new subscribers. When enabled, all new subscribers / purchasers will be added to Mailchimp automatically.
- Select an existing Segment or create a new one
- Click "Sync to Mailchimp" to simultaneously process a sync with the current settings, and save those settings.
