In Submatic you have the option to assign custom IDs to your customers.
Set Up Custom IDs
- Go to Submatic Settings > Business > Store Settings tab
- Scroll to the "More Settings" section at the bottom and click "Configure Member IDs"
- Select "Yes" for the "Use Custom Member IDs?" field and configure your ID settings
Your custom ID settings apply universally across your account - in other words all Subscriptions and Customers are subject to the same custom ID logic. There are various options around custom IDs.
- Customer: an ID assigned on the customer level will apply to that customer. Even if the customer has multiple subscriptions, they will be assigned a single ID. Note that only Customers with a Subscription are eligible for ID assignment.
- Subscription: an ID assigned on the subscription level will apply to each subscription. With this setting in place a single customer may be associated with multiple IDs.
ID Assignment Logic:
- Numeric Order: Use Numeric Order logic to assign IDs in sequential numeric order. Set starting and increment values. If you set you starting value as 100 and increment value as 10: the first ID assigned will be #100, the second ID assigned will be #110, etc.
- From A List: Define your own ID list. Enter a comma separate list of alphanumeric IDs. For example: A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6
Auto Assign IDs: If you select "Yes", Submatic will automatically assign an ID for each new Customer or Subscription. If you select "No", you will be required to manually assign new IDs.
Manage Custom IDs
If you have Custom Member IDs enabled, you will see an ID management link on the Subscription detail page. If no ID is assigned the link will say "Add Member ID".
If an ID is assigned, the current ID will appear.
Click on this link to prompt the Manage ID view. Follow the prompts to either assign a new ID or release the assigned ID.
You may also manage your custom IDs from the Store Settings > Configure Member IDs page. Click on the "Manage IDs" button to Delete or Release IDs. Click on the relevant icon in the "Manage" column to either Relase or Delete an ID. Note that you cannot Delete an ID if it is assigned, you must first Release the ID before you can delete it. Additionally if you are using the "From A List" ID Assignment Logic, then when you release an ID, the ID will become available for use again with a new Customer / Subscription.
