When Submatic is connected to your Square account, a custom "Member Status" field is automatically generated in Square. This field displays the current subscription status directly on customer profiles in Square, making it easy to identify members and their status at a glance. The field will show the same status that appears on your Subscriptions page in Submatic or in the customer's Wallet pass.
Note that this field is auto-generated once you connect Submatic and Square, but it will not be visible on customer profiles unless you manually enable it in Square's settings.
Enable Member Status Field
- Go to Square Customer Directory > Settings > Configure Profiles
- Locate the "Member Status" field in the Visible Fields section
- Toggle the switch to enable the field
- Drag and drop the field to your desired location on the customer profile
The field will now appear on customer profiles where the field contains a value (field is hidden in Square if a value has not been set for a specific customer)
Additional Notes
- If a membership has an expiration date, the field will include both the status and the expiration date
- There are no settings within Submatic to manage this field - all configuration is done in Square
- If the member status field is accidentally deleted from Square, it cannot be recovered without contacting Submatic Support
